Listed below are ordinances that may be of interest to Community and Development Services customers.
Right of Way Ordinance (40-2006) This ordinance states the rules, regulations, and required permits for construction within the right-of-way.
Landscaping Ordinance (24-2007) This ordinance states landscaping requirements for developments subject to site plan review, multi-family structures, developments using the planned unit development (P.U.D.) or zero lot line (Z.L.L.), and certain industrial or commercial developments.
Zoning and Building Permit Fees Ordinance (26-2007) This ordinance lists an updated fee schedule for Zoning and Building Permits.
Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Ordinance (37-2007) This ordinance is part of a federally mandated Phase II Stormwater program to protect water quality by regulating erosion and sediment control measures at construction sites. A Grading and Clearing Permit or an EPSC Plan may be required.
Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination Ordinance (36-2007) This ordinance is part of a federally mandated Phase II Stormwater program to protect water quality by controlling connections to the storm sewer and establishing procedures for detecting and eliminating illicit discharges to the storm sewer. A Drainage System Connection Permit may be required.
Basic Property Maintenance Code (25-2006) This ordinance outlines minimum building maintenance and repair standards for all structures within the city, and describes enforcement procedures and penalties.
Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance (16-2008) This ordinance repeals Chapter 151 of the City of Hopkinsville, Kentucky Code of Ordinances and adopts a new chapter pertaining to flood damage prevention. This ordinance adopts by reference the revised flood plain maps effective September 17, 2008.
